Software Development Engineer
Location: Bydgoszcz
Key Tasks and Activities:
- Lab reconfiguration and provisioning
- Developing & maintaining tools and documentation for the newest telco technologies
- Writing in C++, Java and Python
- Day-to-day Linux, JIRA/Bugzilla /Confluence/Git/Gerrit/Jenkins
- Testing frameworks
Our requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in applied or analytical science
- Experience with object-oriented programming in Java, C++, Python
- Familiarity with design and architecture patterns for enterprise software applications
- Understanding of runtime environment constraints i.e. effect of processors, i/o, network bandwidth and latency on system performance
- Experience with both embedded and external databases
- Ability to create and use pre-packaged class libraries and template libraries in Java or C++
- Experience with automated testing and continuous integration
- Knowledge of the open source ecosystem
Knowledge of the following would be a benefit
- Cloud, virtualization, Linux containers, Micro-services
- Fault management knowledge
- Network knowledge: protocols, client – server architecture
- Databases knowledge
- ISTQB/ISEB certificate
- Other professional knowledge and work experience will be seen as an additional asset
